Swim Meets depend on our volunteers to run and some positions are trained/certified positions. Stroke and Turn judges, Referees, and Starters are one of those trained positions. This year, GPSA is bringing back in person training and this in person training is required by those who will fill these positions. Training Wednesday, June 7th OR Thursday June 8th from 6 to 8 pm at Running Man Clubhouse - 800 Running Man Trail Yorktown VA 23693 If you are signed up to be a Stroke and Turn judge, a starter, or a referee, please attend one of these trainings. If you aren't signed up for any of these positions and are still willing to be trained, that is awesome. These positions are critical to running the meet and the hardest spots to fill. So far, these are who I've heard from as attending training. We need more to attend. Also, Stroke and Turn is worth 2 volunteer points!!!! So if you do 2 stroke and turn spots, you only have to volunteer for 2 meets!!!!
